This shot from the animated show Bakugan Battle Brawlers shows Leit Motif. Rather than using sound to create the transition, the transition is seen in the time slowing down and the throwing of the Bakugan. The entire environment changes to that of another dimension, and this stays consistent throughout the remainder of the series. Every event occurring in the normal world also stops, such as his father's pudding falling.
This shot is from the anime Haikyuu. This scene is an example of Symbolism. The protagonist's school, Karasuno, has the mascot of the crow. As seen when the protagonist hits the volleyball, the scene transitions to many crows flying towards an eagle. This represents how they are seen as weaker and are even looked down upon. Regardless, they defeat the other school with their unity and teamwork.
Scott Pilgrim V.S. The World has many great edits. This specific clip is Parallelism. In the scene, there is dialogue between Scott and his friend. The dialogue and the talking continues, the characters also stay consistent. However, the surroundings change. First they are in the studio practicing, then they are walking down the street to a party, and finally Scott arrives at the party. The entire time the dialogue stays completely the same, as if it had never stopped. This is the Parallelism in the scene.
This scene is once again from Haikyuu. This time it's Contrast! The speaker in this scene is from another school. He asks what school they will have a practice match against next, and looks over to see Karasuno's members fooling around. It's contrast because he expected serious players, but they were just excited to eat some meat. The players from the speaker's school are in shock as they watch Karasuno.
This scene of course is from Haikyuu and it shows Simultaneity. Very rapidly the shot switches between what Karasuno is doing, the black and orange team, and what Aoba Josai is doing, the white and cyan team. As Hinata, the orange haired character, gets increasingly closer to hitting the ball the scene switches even more rapidly. Once Hinata hits the ball the Simultaneity ends and the shot finishes.
